The fact that summer is right behind the corner made me more eager to get an inflatable paddle board because I know myself too well not to spend the summer away from the water. Stand-up paddle-boarding is a very friendly sport that can do you great both physically and mentally.

After a little bit of research, I took into consideration that both price and size are what’s going to help me decide which paddle board that I’ll to go for, that way, the Vilano Journey was my new best buddy which comes in an all-inclusive package.

Vilano Journey Inflatable Stand up Paddle Board ReviewThe Vilano Journey comes in a size that I like most; it’s 10 feet tall, almost 31 inches wide, and 4 inches thick. It’s very satisfying to have all the 10 feet for your individual use because you’ll be able to do more than just standup paddling; you can lay back and relax, you can use a kayak seat, or you can do yoga if you’re really good at it. This board’s size is the perfect size for almost everyone if you ask me be it a beginner or an advanced paddler.

In addition to that, you’ll notice that the diamond groove traction covers almost two thirds of the board which makes it comfortable to stand or sit on it in all different positions. Also, a hand grip is located right in the middle or the board; it would’ve been difficult to deal with the inflated board without it because it comes really handy for when you want to carry it or get back on its back when in the water.

Vilano Journey inflatable sup board reviewMoreover, the Vilano Journey is made of high grade PVC material with Korean Drop-Stitch construction which makes it a board that’ll last and remain. I’m not saying that it’s anti-damage or that it’ll preserve its strength forever, yet, with little care and caution, this board is strong enough to deliver a great performance since it’s really rigid when fully inflated. Being mentioned, a pressure gauge pump is included in the package; it works fine but I’d always choose to use the electric pump instead.

Now, after the Vilano Journey is inflated, you attach the slide-in fin to its place and you make sure to always put the board’s tail in the water first to avoid scratching the fin on rocks or so. At this stage you’ll be ready to make contact with the 3-piece Aluminum paddle that’s included in the package; it’s non-adjustable and it might be a little clumsy to use for those who are used to speedy paddling. However, the paddle breaks down and makes storing it alongside the other items easier than any time before.

Vilano Journey inflatable SUP boardFurthermore, this board is featured with 7 D-rings 4 of which are connected by a bungee cord and are located at the end of the board, the other 3 are spread on the front deck. Those D-rings are firm and rigid so you can attach a kayak seat if needed, or carry on board any sort of storage as long as the bungee cords can tie it down to the board. Frankly, I’m not the kind of person who’d like to just paddle their way through the lake or river; I always need 2 or 3 meal boxes to keep myself fed and busy. Also, the bungee cords are great to fix your paddle down when you’re taking a break.

Finally, the best thing concerning inflatable paddle board that we all agree about  is their extreme portability and easiness of storage; after you let the board deflate without any effort made, you remove the fin, and then you fold it up like a sleep bag to fit it in the carry bag which will serve both a portability item and a storage bag. You can literally put the Vilano Journey anywhere in your house and never miss a chance for bringing it out to the sun because it’s never been easier.

Pros

  • The Vilano Journey has a perfect size that’s suitable for anyone, especially beginners.
  • It’s extremely portable.
  • It’s rigid, firm, and rock hard when fully inflated.

Cons

  • The paddle is non-adjustable which is a thing with the Vilano’s.
  • No repair is kit is included with the package. You won’t need one as this board is made with high quality materials that can withstand serious abuse.

Vilano Journey 10′ Inflatable SUP Board Review

Vilano Journey 10ft review

Aqua Marina would easily rank amongst the top 5 Stand up paddle board manufacturers out there and for more reasons than I can list in this review.

Aqua Marina SPK-2 Inflatable Stand up Paddle Board Review

This brand has accumulated a solid reputation in the field thanks to the colorful collection it has placed at our disposal; that way, you can make sure that you’ll get the right inflatable stand up paddle board for you.

As generic as that may sound, the most important thing about making this purchase is to make sure that you’re getting the board that will match your profile.

Today, we have one of the brands latest creations and this one might just be one of the best inflatable stand up paddle boards we’ve ever reviewed at this price range.

When it comes to quality, this board is pretty reliable; it might not be the best quality but it will not disappoint. The body is based off military/industrial grade material which is arguably indestructible. Thus, this board is great for professional paddlers but it’s even more suitable for beginners who are prone to bump and crash the board often.

Aqua Marine SPK-2 Inflatable SUP Board Review

When it comes to paddle boards, size does matter because it will shape so many aspects in your experience with the board. The Aqua Marine SPK-2 is 10′ 10″ long which makes it excellent for both steady/calm water cruising and wild surfing. Most inflatable SUP boards out there are either too large which makes them strictly useful for meditation, SUP yoga, touring/racing or too small which brings them closer to surf boards than anything else. However, this board is designed with a beginner in mind, thus the idea behind the design is to allow you to experience as much with this board as possible. Moreover, the body is 30″ wide and 4″ thick which is capable of handling up to 250 lbs without sinking in. Hence, this board can easily bear an adult plus a pet or two kids at the same time.

The basic features of the Aqua Marine SPK-2 are one more reason to put this board on your purchase list. Starting with the design, this Aqua is sharp and that is due to the unisex/attractive colour, the round shape which gives it that authentic surf board feeling, and the overall flawless craftsmanship. 50% of the surface is taken by a foamy gripping pad which will be of great help when it comes to maintaining balance but also when you will try to climb back up on top of the board.

Aqua Marina SPK-2 d-rings bungee cord

Additionally, the nose of the SPK-2 holds four stainless steel D-rings that are connected by a bungee cord which serves as a cargo holder for anything from your shoes to your paddle or coolers. Also, there are two more D-rings at the waist of the board that are meant to enable installing a kayak seat (kayak seat and paddle are not included).

Last but definitely not least are the three specially designed fins that are shaped dynamically to make sailing this giant a lot easier, especially in slow currents and flat water.

Aqua Marina SPK-2 Review

One of the main features, which I feel like I must emphasize, is that this board is inflatable and that forcefully makes it much more useful and practical than a standard hard board. Inflatable boards in general allow you to deflate, roll them up and pack them in a tiny bag which you can then carry on your back to the nearest water body. That is by no means possible with a hard paddle board which requires special transportation means every time you need to take it out but that’s not all.

Also, before you make the purchase think about storage space. With Aqua Marine SPK-2, you will no more need to worry about making room in your garage to store your board because it will literally fit anywhere.

Moving on, another reason that makes this board great for beginners is the comprehensive package that it comes in. This Aqua comes with a back carry bag which will make your life a lot easier, a high pressure hand pump which is great but it can be a little bit challenging to pump beyond 10 psi (perfect psi for this board is 15) and a generic repair kit which you’ll hardly ever need unless you’re trying to intentionally break your board. Accordingly, this board basically comes with everything you will need to maintain it and that can’t be said for all inflatable stand up paddle boards out there.

AmazonButton

Pros

  • The price tag on the Aqua Marina spk 2 is a considerable advantage compared to more expensive board at a lower quality.
  • The size and quality of this board is perfect for beginners but also very doable for professional paddlers which makes it a suitable option for almost everybody.
  • The comprehensive package will make living with this board a lot better and guarantee you get a memorable pain free experience.

Cons

  • This isn’t the best quality inflatable stand up paddle board, so don’t expect it to last for decades. However, it will entertain you for years.
  • The hand pump is a little bit of a bear because you might not mind it the first seven times but after that you’ll wish you had an electric pump instead. So, my advice to you is to get one.

Aqua Marina SPK-2 Inflatable Stand up Paddle Board in Action

Aqua Marina SPK-2 Review

The Outdoor Tuff presents their customers with a variety of choices to fit all ages and capacities; thus, you’ll be more than glad to know that you can upgrade to a bigger board whenever you feel like it, however, I must tell you that a size like this one for an inflatable board is conveniently suitable for anyone unless if you’re planning to tour the world on a board.

Outdoor Tuff OTF-94314SUP inflatable stand up paddle board reviewWhat we have here is the Outdoor Tuff OTF-94314SUP which comes with every item you could possibly need to handle it in an all-inclusive package; it is 9 feet tall, 31 inches wide, and 6 inches thick. This board is featured with many details and aspects to make the time spent on the water worth the purchase and effort.

The OTF-94314SUP comes with a large EVA anti-slip pad that covers almost 2 thirds of its space; it’s comfortable to stand on it so the bottom of your feet or your knees don’t get swollen. The main reason why the anti-slip pad is praised is that it’ll support you with more balance and control while paddling and changing directions.

Outdoor Tuff OTF-94314SUP inflatable SUP board reviewIn addition to that, this board is made to maintain a strong performance thanks to its puncture resistant triple-layer PVC Korean drop stitch air chamber; you’ll be surprised of how firm and hard it turns to be when fully inflated, you’ll find a repair kit included if anything bad ever happened. This Outdoor Tuff’s board is designed to take a weight capacity that ranges from 150 lbs up to 225 lbs which is great for both beginners and advanced users.

Further, the OTF-94314SUP is featured with a high pressure hand pump which you can take with you anywhere with the board; it does a great job inflating it but if you’re willing to use your inflatable board often you might like to use an electric pump.

Another item that features this board is the light 3 piece Aluminum paddle that can be adjusted from 61.5 inches to 80 inches to fit exactly your height and help you find your best rowing position.

Outdoor Tuff OTF-94314SUP inflatable stand up paddle board reviewNow when you get an inflatable paddle board you aim for portability, durability, and performance; this latter is something I have to exalt. The OTF-94314SUP delivers a sturdy and an equilibrated performance on flat water that you can practice yoga on top of it. It’s true that the thicker the board is the more stable and balanced is its performance, but with a 9 feet board you’ll like what it has to offer especially that it is also featured with 3 thin fins that add up to its speed; 2 are small and fixed, while the larger fin is a central slide-in detachable fin that can be easily used.

Furthermore, you’ll find a set of 5 d-rings that comes really handy when needed; 1 D-ring is located at the tail of the board as to attach the included leash to it if desired, while the other 4 are fixed at the front and are connected with a bungee cord. This bungee cord is a great add to those inflatable paddle boards because it will allow you to take more items with you on board; I always love to have my snack with me while doing some recreational paddling, it helps a lot and it’s something you can’t do with an authentic board.

Finally, the Outdoor Tuff OTF-94314SUP comes with carry back bag which will enable you to pack the whole thing in it, carry it around easily, or just store it anywhere in the house since it deflates and fits in the bag.

AmazonButton

Pros

  • The OTF-94314SUP comes in an all-inclusive package with everything you need to hit the water.
  • The paddle is light and adjustable.
  • A carry bag is included to pack and carry the whole package.
  • It’s firm, rigid, and durable.

Cons

  • As for cons, we couldn’t think of any.

Outdoor Tuff OTF-94314SUP Stand up paddle board review

Those of you who are close to biking as a sport as well as the bikes’ brands out there might have heard of the Vilano bicycles that are quality bikes at great prices. Now the Vilano is here to make more quality items but this time it’s an inflatable stand up paddle board that is big enough to make you rethink all of the water activities you were used to.

Vilano 12' 6The Vilano Inflatable touring/race stand up paddle board is 12 feet long, 31 inches wide, and 6 inches thick with a design which is dedicated to give you the best possible paddling touring and race experience.

A big inflatable stand up paddle board like this one is great for anything; recreational paddling, SUP yoga, paddling in river rapids, fishing, racing… and so much more, thanks to its design that allows maximum speed over flat water.

The sharp deck’s design is meant to make water cruising smooth and fast, and with the slide-in detachable fin you’ll like how swift it feels.

This board is very rigid; it feels quite strong when you stand up on it especially if you inflate it appropriately. It’s also meant to simulate a hard board since it’s made of military grade materials consisting of ultra-durable PVC/Korean drop stitch construction; it’s rock hard when it’s inflated up to 12.5 or more psi (14 psi max) as it can take up to 350 lbs which means that two people can comfortably get on top of it, however, it’ll be challenging to have complete control over this big guy if you’re a beginner – though it will be a great workout if you ask me.

Vilano Inflatable Touring Race Stand up Paddle Board ReviewThe Vilano Inflatable Touring/Race stand up paddle board comes in a complete package which means you’ll find everything you’d need to handle it. The first thing I’d like to point is the pressure gauge that might be of use if this board was smaller; because pumping up 12 feet board is not an easy duty; therefore, an electric pump would do the job and save you a lot of trouble.

Another thing is the 3-piece Aluminum non-adjustable paddle which breaks down and adds up to the portability of the whole package; however, you’d like a lighter paddle if you’re used to swift and speedy paddling.

Moreover, the Vilano features a diamond groove traction that covers two thirds of its back which is just amazing; it’s comfortable to stand on it, it enhances the paddler’s equilibrium on board, as it helps reduce and avoid probable slippage.

Further, a hand grip is located in the middle of the board so to help you carry it around when you’re still on the land, as it’ll also help you get on top of the board in case you got into the water.

Vilano12' 6Now if this is your first paddle board purchase, what I would like to advice you is that you take it easy with a board like this one because it’s big and it has so much potential as it needs a good deal of effort to be well managed in the water, however, using a kayak seat is always a friendly option for those of you who just want to enjoy swift and smooth paddling.

This inflatable stand up paddle board features 7 D-rings for gear tie down, optional kayak seat attachment, and leash attachment.; 3 are located at the back, while the other 4 are connected with a bungee cord and are fixed at the front deck.

vilano touring race inflatable sup board reviewThose D-rings come really handy with a large board like this one; you can carry your dry clothes with you, you can fix the paddle to the bungee cord when you’re taking a break, or you can just take a cooler with your on board for when you get hungry or thirsty.

Finally, the Vilano comes with a carry bag that will allow you to fold it up like a sleeping bag when it’s completely deflated. The best thing about these inflatable paddle boards is that they’re never too big to be taken anywhere especially with a bag where you can fit the whole thing in it.

AmazonButton

Pros

  • The Vilano is a big board (12 feet) that is meant for speedy paddling and swift cruising thanks to its sharp design.
  • It has so much potential as to please different tastes: yoga, touring, racing… thanks to its large sharp size.
  • It’s extremely portable and easy to store since it’s inflatable and made to be folded up like a sleeping bag.

Cons

  • The paddle is non-adjustable which might a problem for some of you.
  • There is no repair kit included. You won’t need one as this inflatable stand up paddle board is very well-made.

Aqua Marina SPK-1 Stand up paddle board review

The Aqua Marina 9′ 9″ SPK-1 all around inflatable paddle board is one of the brand’s most intriguing creations. To begin with, Aqua Marina has quite the reputation in the industry which is one of the hardest things to achieve in a business based on inflatable gadgets. Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that inflatable paddle boards are not reliable but trust me; you can easily be disappointed by different brands in the field. Hence why, before you make your purchase, you must first make sure that you’re getting your money’s worth.

That being said, let’s take a closer look at this Aqua Marina SPK-1 inflatable stand up paddle board:

First things first, this board is relatively big, not too big but just enough to ensure a smooth cruising experience. At 9′ 9″, riding this SPK-1 board will feel stable, very stable which makes it perfect for users who intend to enjoy easy sails and uninterrupted meditation sessions. However, do not be fooled by that profile because, although relatively large, this board can go wild.

Aqua Marina SPK-1 Stand up paddle board review

Its 4 inches thick body will provide you with enough support to ride strong currents and even surf medium to small sized waves at ease. Now it’s true, 4 inches might not be thick enough to carry more than one person over 200 pounds but you can definitely give your pet a ride without a concern as long as it’s not a bear. Although considerably huge, this board weighs under 30 pounds which will come in extremely handy once you start moving this thing around.

Still on the surface, the Aqua Marina SPK-1 is a beautifully designed inflatable stand up paddle board and believe me, it looks even better up close. The board has a quality gripping pad which covers almost 2/3 of the surface to ensure more stability while standing/sitting and also to make it easier for you to jump right back on top after you jumped in the water. On the nose of the SPK-1 , you will find 4 stainless steel D-rings that are connected via a bungee cord which can be used to secure anything from your shoes to your paddle.

Aqua Marina SPK-1 Stand up paddle board review

Additionally, there are two more D-rings near the back and those are meant for installing a kayak seat which is a completely different experience and one last D-ring right at the end which is used to toe or secure the board.

When it comes to durability, this SPK-1 all around inflatable stand up  paddle board is easily one of your top options. The body is strictly based on military grade material which is then reinforced by extra layers of post inflation lamination which makes the board extra stiff and prevents any sort of air leakage.

Accordingly, you may crash this board on rocks, pebbles or any hard surface without a concern, just don’t do it intentionally because you’re more likely to get hurt before the board does.

Aqua Marina SPK-1 review

I know what you’re thinking right now: hard boards are definitely stronger than an inflatable one. Well, not really. This board might be inflatable but it’s definitely as strong as any hard board plus it doesn’t break. Not only that but inflatable paddle boards in general are extremely more practical than hard stand up paddle boards on various levels.

Inflatable means you can deflate your board, roll it up, bag it in a small hand-bag or backpack, and carry it to the beach on foot. Also, forget about finding storage room because once deflated, this Aqua will fit in a drawer instead of a garage.

One remarkable feature is that the SPK-1 board comes in a comprehensive package that will make your life as a beginner or a professional a lot easier.

The most useful complement to the board in my opinion is the carry bag which will make storing and transporting your board a piece of cake.

Second item is the aluminium adjustable paddle which is light but very durable (note: make sure to hook your paddle to one of the D-rings on the board because it may sink).

Also, the Aqua comes with a high pressure hand pump which is great but it’s also a little bit of a bear, especially if you’re not into manual labor.

AmazonButton

Pros

  • The Aqua Marina SPK-1 inflatable stand up paddle board doesn’t only look great but it’s also very durable and reliable, making it one of the few boards that managed to balance both looks and strength.
  • The all inclusive package is a life saver and it will certainly make your experience a lot smoother.
  • The SPK-1 is inflatable and I believe that should stand for itself because I would choose inflatable over hard boards in any world.

Cons

  • The hand pumping can be a little bit of a challenge. So, I recommend you get yourself a nice little electric pump if you don’t already have one and save yourself the trouble.
  • The only thing missing in the package is a basic repair kit which can be useful but to be honest, I don’t think you’d even need it if you treat your board well.

Vilano Voyager 11' 6The first thing I have learned about summer was that “summer is time to have fun and relax”; I’m a water person, and I really need to spend the summer near the water, thus, and like every year, I had to think of something that’ll make this year special and fun. Two words; “standup paddle-boarding”, some of you might say it’s 4 words, anyway, I really think that this summer will turn to be a standup paddle-boarding’s season.

If you’re new to this sport, all you need to know is that these inflatable boards have so much to offer; they’re good for anyone, they allow for a wide range of activities, and they’re extremely portable.

Vilano Voyager Inflatable Stand up paddle Board ReviewThe inflatable standup paddle board we have here is the Vilano Voyager; it’s a 11 feet long board, 31 inches wide, and 6 inches thick. Size matters a lot when it comes to those stand up paddle boards because with a board like this which is made of military grade materials consisting of ultra-durable PVC/Korean drop stitch construction, 11 feet will allow you to do so much more on board; you don’t have to paddle alone if you ask me, a partner or a pet will always find space on it. Also, the fact that it is 6 inches thick is a plus to its stability because the thicker the board is the better.

The Vilano Voyager is an all-around inflatable stand up paddle board that’s designed to perform quite well in lakes, rivers, beach…you name it. This makes one of the best beginner friendly inflatable stand up paddle boards out there.

Vilano Voyager ReviewThe aesthetics of this board are quite appealing; most of its body is red while the diamond groove traction is black, those 2 colors together are always a killer in my opinion. Now since I mentioned the diamond groove traction, the dedicated space for it covers almost 2 thirds of the board to provide more comfort and balance to the paddler while standing or moving on board. In addition to that, you’ll find a hand grip right in the middle for when you want to carry your inflated board, or when you want get back on top of it when you’re in the water.

Now the Vilano Voyager comes in an all-inclusive package with everything you need to handle it except for the repairing kit which I’d tolerate because I usually take good care of my stuff and hope I don’t need it. You’ll find a 3-piece non-adjustable Aluminum paddle included; you can break it down and it’ll fit perfectly in the back bag. Moreover, a pump with an integrated pressure gauge is part of the package for those of you who’d like to use it; it’ll pump your board up to 18 psi, however, since the Voyager is a big guy I’d recommend the use of an electric pump to save you time and effort.

Another aspect of this board’s functionalities is its storage abilities; it comes with 7 D-rings, 3 are located at the front and 4 at the back, those at the back are connected with a bungee cord to facilitate the process of fixing the stuff you need with you to the board. It’s very useful, and with a board size like this one there is just so much you can take with you, however, it’s not my thing to have my board loaded with stuff, but trust me sometimes you’ll need to and you’ll be glad that the Vilano Voyager is your buddy.

Vilano Voyager Inflatable SUP Board Review 2Finally, the Voyager comes with a back bag as mentioned before which is perfect after you remove the slide-in  removable fin,  deflate your board, , fold it up like a sleeping bag, and fit it in the bag with the paddle. This way, you can always find place for it anywhere in your house or car. It needn’t to be mentioned, but deflating those boards is so easy and quick you’ll enjoy looking at it becoming flat and ready to go back home.

AmazonButton

Pros

  • The Vilano Voyager is a big standup paddle board (11 feet) which will be great for any kind of activities you want to try.
  • It’s very stable, extremely portable and can be easily stored.
  • It’s rigid enough to take up to 300 lbs.

Cons

  • The included paddle is not adjustable and it’s 75 inches straight. So, It’s better to invest in a quality paddle.

iRocker inflatable stand up paddle board review -BlueWhen it comes to inflatable paddle boards, iRocker is like the god father of the industry because it is on top of the game. The reason behind that is the overwhelming positive feedback that the company has accumulated due to their undisputed quality boards. Now, if that’s not compelling enough for you to seize this 11’ long iRocker then let us take a closer look at what’s this board is really made of.

First things first, when it comes to durability, you might have some concerns when you’re poking at inflatable stand up boards in general. However, what you might not be aware of is that this board is technically as strong if not stronger than regular hard boards. For beginners, this thing is made of military grade material which is then reinforced by a double drop stitch, meaning you can crash this board into rocks, drop it anywhere you wish or even roll it over with your car (but I wouldn’t advise you to try that unless you’re getting it on tape) and it would still stand strong.

One really important thing that you should not neglect is that size really matters when we’re talking iSUPs. This iRocker is 11’ long and 6” thick which basically means that you can get two adults to lie on top of it head to toes without a concern about sinking it. Longer boards are generally steadier but less agile which makes them a perfect pick for those of you who appreciate smooth and steady cruising. Don’t get me wrong, you can still go wild with this board, you can ride strong currents and even surf manageable waves but you’d only experience the full potential of this giant on steady water. Also, this inflatable stand up paddle board is great for users who appreciate meditation, board exercise or even yoga if you wish.

iRocker 11' inflatable stand up paddle board reviewStill on the surface, this iRocker comes in two colors: blue and white which are both attractive unisex colors. Moreover, the board has 4 stainless steel D-rings on the nose connected via a bungee cord which serves as a cargo holder and 4 more D-rings around the end of the gripping pad where you can install a kayak seat if you wish. Speaking of gripping pads, the pad on this board is ultra resistant which will help you maintain strong balance on the board and also help you get back up on top of it easily after you dive off into the water.

On the bottom of the board, you will find 2 side fins and a huge central one to make control even smoother. However, I can’t say that it’s really practical in strong current.

Now one thing which you must realize when you’re in a situation where you have to choose between a rigid and an inflatable board and that is inflatable paddle boards always win.

Deflating iRocker 11' inflatable stand up paddle boardNo matter how you look at it, inflatable stand up paddle boards are undeniably a better choice. First, you can completely forget about the trouble of transporting a giant board to your designated beach because this iRocker can be easily deflated and packed into a small bag. Basically, you can carry your deflated board unnoticed to your nearest body of water, pop it out, pump it up and BAM an 11’ long SUP appears out of nowhere. Also, you can forget about owning a garage just so you can store this board because it can literally fit anywhere once deflated.

An important feature of any inflatable paddle board is how easy it is to maintain it and that depends a lot on the side kit that comes with every board.

iRocker Paddle Boards 11 6 Thick Inflatable SUP PackageIn the case of the iRocker, I believe that it almost has everything you will need to maintain it for a long time. Starting by the most important component, the back pack carry bag is an extremely useful addition which will allow you to store your board safely and transport it at ease. Second is the adjustable aluminium paddle which is both light and practical. Third is a dual action high pressure pump but sadly it’s still a hand pump (so get ready for a challenge). Last but not last is the indispensable repair kit which you’d hardly ever need unless your primary purpose is to make your board break.

AmazonButton

Pros

  • The iRocker is 11’ which makes it stronger and steady and that’s great for beginners who wish to enjoy their paddle boarding experience instead of struggling to stay on top of the board.
  • The board comes with an impeccable kit which will make maintaining your board a lot easier than you would expect.
  • The iRocker is generally a familiar and trusted name in the industry which is why this board comes with a 2 year long warranty and that’s not bad at all.

Cons

  • The manual pumping can be a little bit more demanding than usual, especially since this is a considerably big board. Therefore, I would advise you to get yourself a nice little electric pump and save yourself the whole trouble.

Vilano Navigator 10' inflatable stand up paddle board reviewIf you’re looking for a friendly sport that will guarantee you loads of fun and relaxation at the same time for the spring or summer; stand up paddle-boarding should be an awesome option to consider because it’s the sport of the season.

There are various modes of stand up paddling, including flat water paddling for recreation, fun, fitness, or sightseeing, racing on lakes, surfing on ocean waves, paddling in river rapids, SUP Yoga, and even fishing sometimes. There is just so much to do with an inflatable paddle board.

What we have here is the Vilano Navigator inflatable paddle board; it’s a big guy if you ask me; with a length of 10 feet and a width of 31 inches this board is capable of carrying more than just one paddler, however, it should be amazing to have all that space for yourself to paddle comfortably and to carry whatever you need with you on board especially when it’s well pumped up. When fully inflated, the Vilano Navigator can be as rigid as a regular, rigid paddle board. It’s 6 inches thick, and since it’s made of military grade materials consisting of ultra-durable PVC/Korean drop stitch construction; the Navigator will remain strong and keep you company for quite a while.

Personally, I was never a fan of regular hard paddle boards; I might watch people surfing on them but I’ve never gotten the feeling that I need one, however, when I first saw those inflatable paddle boards I just couldn’t hold myself form getting one; simply because they’re extremely portable and they have so much to offer.

Vilano Navigator 10' inflatable stand up paddle board review 5This board for example comes in 3 different colors so that you get to choose whichever meets you taste: (Blue / Grey, Grey / Orange, White / Blue). Also, almost two thirds of the Navigator’s back are covered with a diamond groove traction which adds up greatly to your balance while standing on top of it because it reduces the chances of any possible slippage, as you’ll find a hand grip right in the middle of the board which will help you carry it around or get back on top of it while in the water.

Moreover, the Vilano Navigator comes with a 3-piece Aluminum paddle that adds up to the portability of the board; it’s easily adjusted to fit the paddler’s length, however, if you’re a newbie you’d like a lighter paddle. In addition to that you’ll find a removable slide-in fin so that you can easily remove it and pack your board.

Vilano Navigator ReviewNow before talking about how easy it is to deflate the Vilano Navigator you need to know about the 4 D-rings that are located at the end of the board which are connected with a bungee cord, while another 3 D-rings are at the front deck.

Those D-rings are amazing for when you really need to take something with you on board; you can easily fix your tools, a meal-box, a cooler, your shoe, the paddle or anything to those bungee cords and you’re ready to hit the water with everything you need. It’s my favorite part to be honest; it’s just great to be able to take your snack with you on board, lay back after you’ve paddled enough to take a break, enjoy the sun and then eat your favorite snack.

Further, you’ll find a pump with an integrated pressure gauge to inflate your board; it’s easy to use, and it can pump it up to 18 psi, however, 12-15 psi should be enough if you’re not that heavy.

Now when you need to deflate it you’ll be happy that to look at all the air coming out of it smoothly until it’s all flat in no time. The Vilano Navigator comes with a back bag to pack it in and carry it with you anywhere you go; you only have to detach the removable fin, fold it up like a sleeping bag and then, along with the paddle, fit it in the bag and ride to the nearest beach, river, or lake… you just name it.

ISLE Airtech® 15' Megalodon Multi Person Supersize Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board Review

You might really like stand up paddling as a friendly sport, but what If you can practice it with many friends on one inflatable stand up paddle board? Actually; what if you can paddle with luxury? Embrace yourselves people; the supersize ISLE Airtech® Megalodon is here to stun you and make you feel really small.

ISLE® never fails at providing us with everything that is of great quality, thus, the Airtech Megalodon is a monster if you ask me; the sight of it alone is capable of fascinating you.

The Megalodon is 15 feet tall, and 50 inches wide, do you know what does that mean? It means that you can take up to 6 people with you on board. To begin with, this inflatable stand up paddle board is made for team work activities; it’s too big for anyone to handle on their own, and even if you think you can, it’ll be quite demanding. Inflating this monster and bring it out on the beach is always to impress everyone around; black and yellow combinations are usually to get a lot of attention, and with a size like this, you’ll own the water.

I can’t think of anything else that would put me and my crazy pack together this summer; the Megalodon is 8 inches thick, it’ll carry all of us and allow us to take all the food we need with us because we really love to eat or drink something in the water for a break. For that you’ll find 4 D-rings that are connected with a bungee cord over enough space to carry more than you could imagine. Also, like one of my friends does, you can use extra bungee cords or any available strips to attach more items to any of the 13 reinforced rail-mounted carry handles along both rails. The carry handles are mainly made to facilitate the group transportation of the board; however, they’re strong enough if you needed them for something else.

ISLE Airtech® 15ft Megalodon Inflatable SUP Review

This board is extremely rigid and stable; it feels like you’re standing on a solid one, and even when you’re paddling you could still stand firm and tall on board. In fact, this board is too rigid and solid for an inflatable one, and the best part about it is jumping to the water after you’re done with paddling; it’s impressively stable and sturdy.

ISLE Airtech® 15ft Megalodon Inflatable SUP Review 3

Additionally, the board is almost completely covered with a diamond-groove pattern that is designed to resist slippage and make sure that your feet are comfortable; you can paddle with all of your strength and still maintain great balance on the board. Further, the Megalodon is engineered with military-grade drop stitch and it is reinforced with dense, layered PVC that guarantees a great deal of durability.

This board is made to be strong; you can take it out on a discovery trip with your friends carrying everything you need on board, or you can just have a fancy sunbath… it has a lot to offer, you can even have a group yoga session if you wanted.

As for those of you who are interested in surfing, the Megalodon can do well but not great, because inflatable stand up paddle boards are obviously made for stand up paddling. Yet, this board comes with 3 large removable fins that make cruising the water faster and smoother in flat water or small waves.

To conclude, the Megalodon comes with 4 travel paddles that are adjustable to fit different paddlers. In my opinion, the fact that such an inflatable board does exist is just brilliant; paddling alongside with your friends and having a blast on the water is just perfect for summer.

Last but not least, great power comes with great responsibility; the Megalodon is a big a buddy (50 pounds), so you should expect that you’ll need a little more effort to store it, pack it, and to carry it around especially when it’s inflated, however, I assure you it’s nothing that hard or impossible. Even if it’s going to take more space to store than the other smaller stand up paddle boards, you can easily fold it up and put it under your bed or whatever space available.

Pros

  • The Megalodon is a solid, rigid, firm, and strong inflatable stand paddle board.
  • It can carry on board up to 6 adults.
  • It comes with 4 paddles to handle it.
  • It’s so sturdy you’d think you’re standing on the ground.

Cons

  • This board comes with a hand pump; however, I think you might need an electric one to inflate it of how big it is.
  • It doesn’t come with a bag like other smaller paddle boards due to its large size.
  • It’s pricey. You’ll have to shell out some serious cash for this monster.

The thing that came to my mind when I saw an inflatable paddle board for the first time was how awesome that thing is; it’s inflatable, portable, and it seemed to be the new way to enjoy summer fun on the water.

Stand up paddling is a friendly sport that can be convenient for anyone, and the 9’9″ PathFinder inflatable stand up paddle board is a solid example to prove that point.

Pathfinder SUP and accessories

If you are looking for an all-inclusive package (with paddle, pump, and carry bag) then the PathFinder, available in either blue or orange color is definitely worth considering.

The PathFinder is 9 feet 9 inches tall and 30 inches wide when fully inflated, with near military grade PVC material with strong multi-layer drop stitch this board will deliver a great deal of durability and puncture resistance.

The PathFinder is a very solid inflatable board; it can be inflated up to 15 PSI, but even at 10-12 PSI this board is a rigid one. A hand pump is included in the package is an updated one and it does a great job inflating it in 5-10 minutes, however, you can always use an electric pump if you have one available.

Also, the board is 5 inches thick, and the stiffness you can sense when you’re on board of it is amazing. I hate to compare inflatable boards to the hard ones, and I know that hate is a big word, but the PathFinder is so solid you can knock on its back when inflated and it’ll sound as if you’re knocking on a wooden board; it delivers a great deal of stability and sturdiness.

Now let’s talk about the paddle; it’s adjustable to fit any almost any paddler’s height; it extends up to 85”, also, it’s made of aluminum, so easy to handle and it doesn’t quickly sink if you drop it in the water.

Trying the PathFinder on flat water was amazing, it’s unexpectedly rigid and stable, and with the paddle being comfortable to use. However, for those of you who are of a little experience with stand up paddling, you can always paddle while sitting on your knees until you get a grip of the whole thing.

One more thing is the D-rings and bungee cord that are located at the front of the PathFinder are any items you wants to carry on board as you paddle. I honestly don’t need the bungee cord often, but once I was on a little trip in the lake and I really needed to bring a snack- box and water bottle, so the bungee cord did great job of securing it while I paddled.

Last but not least, the Z-Ray PathFinder comes with a great carry bag which makes the board look like a sleeping bag. The bag is really practical; the deflated board fits in it, while you can hang the paddle and the hand pump using the provided strips. I don’t think I could have asked for more than this; with a inflatable paddle board like the PathFinder rocking the water should be your new favorite sport.

Pros

  • The Z-Ray PathFinder comes in an all-inclusive package with paddle, pump and carry bag.
  • Lighter board when inflated compared to others makes it easier to carry

Cons

  • The Pathfinder inflatable stand up paddle board is 5 inch thick, which Is a bit thin for taller/ heavier paddlers
  • Only the repair kit is missing, but I doubt you’d need it if you look after the board and stay clear of rocks.

The Pathfinder is a good board for families and beginners. It’s a light, rigid, and stable board for a very reasonable price

Z-Ray™ PathFinder 10 ft Inflatable SUP review 1Moreover, the Z-Ray PathFinder comes with a large anti-slip pad that enhances the paddler’s equilibrium and promotes a better sense of control over the board. You will also find a hand grip that is very useful when you need to carry the inflated board.

Further, this stand up paddle board took into consideration more than just standing up and paddling, the PathFinder allows you to choose your favorite paddling position with an adjustable kayak seat and a bar that blocks your legs from stretching all the way in front of you, and lets you to sit comfortably with your knees bent without any effort. The kayak seat is both; adjustable to fit the paddler’s size, and easily attached/removed, also, the foot bar is so easy to attach and remove.

Another thing that adds to the portability of the Z-Ray PathFinder is the central fin that is detachable; it’s a slide-in fin, and nothing is easier than fixing it in place, the other 2 side fins are smaller and are fixed. Those fins play a great role when in it comes to surfing or fast paddling, however, be always careful when you put your board in the water; the tail should always be directed into deep water so you wouldn’t damage your fins when you put your weight on the board.

Now let’s talk about the paddle; it breaks into 2 pieces and it is adjustable to fit any paddler’s height; it stretches up to 85”, also, it’s made of aluminum, so easy to handle and it doesn’t sink in case you drop it on the water.
