Those qualities put together make this board pretty good for almost anything; you can try some moves if you are an advanced paddler and enjoy a little bit of surfing, and even if you are not advanced in this whole thing of paddling, the Breeze is made with an anti-slip pad that has a honeycomb groove design which prevents slipping off the board and boosts stability.

This anti-slip pad covers nearly the whole board, which reminds me to tell you that with a traction pad this large you can always take your kid or your dog with you on board while you cruse the water. Furthermore, this stand up paddle board comes with a grab handle at the middle which is extremely useful whether you needed to carry the inflated board, or get back on top of it when you’re in the water.

The Breeze stand paddle board is made to take up to 209 pounds; I’m barely 140 pounds, and I can always carry my favorite snacks on board in addition to my water equipment thanks to the 4 D-rings that are connected with a bungee cord on the board’s head.

Moreover, the Breeze is made of a double-wall drop stich PVC construction which makes it very suitable for exploring trips or surfing as I mentioned before, yet, the Breeze’s package does not include a repair kit which was a bit weird, consequently, the best thing to do is to treat your inflatable board with care like I do, and hope to never need the repair kit.

Additionally, the hand pump included in the package does a good job inflating the board; however, since I prefer to use an electric pump I don’t think I’ll need it. Further, the paddle breaks into 2 pieces, it is adjustable, and it is made of aluminum which makes it quite durable. Still, I advise you to always go easy on your tools if you really want them to last.

One more thing is the fins; the Breeze is furnished with 3 fins that are directed to make the surfing experience a smoother one; one fin is a slide-in central to enhance portability, and the other 2 side fins are fixed.

Speaking of portability, stand up inflatable paddle boards are largely praised because first, you can carry them with you anywhere without worrying about the storage issues, second, because they’re simply convenient for almost anything and anyone; though I have no idea how do people practice yoga on top of inflatable boards, watching my girlfriend trying it on the Breeze was pretty awesome, and third you can always choose, from the variety of colors and designs, the one that fits you most; the Breeze stand up paddle board was my spirit color.

Thus, the TEN TOES inflatable SUP carries on its shoulders a big name and it has to deliver (and boy does it).

This board has one of the sharpest designs. Scanning the body carefully will tell you enough about how serious this company is about their products. Their boards usually come without a single flow but that’s not all of it. Although looks are pretty important, performance is also key when it comes to inflatable paddle boards (and many other things, if you know what I mean) and this one is not backing off.

The TEN TOES is also in the 12 foot long club but it is extremely reliable and agile. Also, this board is beginner friendly as it comes with a light weight paddle, 3 removable fins, a manual pump and a repair kit but sadly no bag. However, to make up for that, the board does have a 1 year long warranty and when a company trusts their products that much, you can’t really say it’s bad unless you try it.

Final Thoughts

However, having a natural board mentioned, I honestly think that there is neither a way nor a reason to compare the two; these inflatable boards have completely different things and aspects to offer, and here I refer to the means of portability and storage.

The Isle Explorer inflatable paddle board comes with a 3-piece aluminum adjustable travel paddle that is made to fit everyone. Furthermore, a repair kit is included like usual in case you ever needed it. Moreover, you’ll find a high pressure hand pump that  can inflate the board up to 15 PSI, yet, my advice to you is to get yourself an electric pump; it’s never a waste you’ll need it in multiple occasions, and it will save you plenty of time and effort. Last but not least, the Isle Explorer comes with 3 fins, 2 are small and fixed, and 1 is a bigger removable central fin to facilitate packing it.

Now let’s talk about something I found really useful; I have mentioned that the Isle Explorer is an adventurous inflatable board, now check this out: the Explorer comes with 14 D-rings that are distributed as the  following, 4 on the tail, another 4 on the sides of  nearly the center of the board, and 6 at the front. The tail and front D-rings are connected with 2 individual bungee cords; it’s like a complete bungee system that allows you to carry on board with you a lot more than what you used to carry.

Personally, I don’t really like to have my inflatable board loaded with stuff, however, when I needed to attach my kayak seat, take my shoe with me, fix the paddle down, and bring a snack I was pretty pleased with the storage abilities of the Explorer bungee system.

And for this reason, this board provides you with 2 extra grab handles in case you needed help to carry the inflated board.

Not only that that I was pleased with and I’m sure a lot of you’ll agree; the Isle Explorer SUP comes with a nicely made back bag where you can pack the deflated board within. Folding the deflated board should be like rolling up a sleeping bag if you ask me; maybe a little heavier but it’s quite the same. All that is left to say is that you might need a car to take the Isle Explorer with you along your other bags.

Let me tell you that an inflatable board is never like the hard one, it’s true that we are looking for a strong and rigid inflatable board, but you should always keep in mind that any inflatable board is way too light compared to an authentic one. Still, I would never recommend anyone to go hard on their inflatable boards, simply because durability matters are greatly related to the way you deal with your board and how often it is used.

Now we got to my favorite part, with the Driftsun SUP you don’t have to worry about storage or portability; this board comes with a good, if not great, looking back bag to pack the board and all its equipment within.

This is what I meant when I said that inflatable paddle boards have so much to offer; you just role up the deflated board, pack it along with the other tools, and  now  you are ready to carry your board on your back and walk ( if it’s not too far) to the nearest lake or beach, and still look good. The Driftsun is relatively light compared to other inflatable paddle boards, and that is just great if you are willing to take it with you anywhere during not only the whole summer, but the whole year.

This board weighs something around 29 pounds but don’t let that fool you because it has a weight limit of 250 lbs. I personally enjoy cruising on my own most of the time and enjoy the calm but often times than not I end up enjoying company just as much and this board can definitely afford company. It has three carry handles: one on top of the D-rings which serves for toeing or securing your board, a second at the center which helps you carry your board single handed, and a third on the back of the deck which can be used like the first one but it also serves as a base for your ankle leash. Now, when it comes to user friendliness, this board has really impressed me. The ATOLL comes in an all inclusive package which contains everything you will be needing to maintain this board. First thing you’ll notice is the high pressure hand pump which is every paddle boarder’s arch enemy. You might not mind the 10 minutes long pumping of your board the first couple of times, but it starts to get really challenging with time and this is something that goes for every inflatable board out there. My advice is to simply use your electric pump or buy one if you don’t have it already because you will need it sooner or later.

A great addition to this board is the collapsible aluminium paddle which breaks down to 3 parts for extra portability, a slide-in removable central fin that you should avoid using in shallow water, a generic repair kit which is always a good thing to have and last but not least a practical back pack that’s large enough for the deflated board, the paddle, the repair kit and the pump.

I can’t get over the fact that inflatable paddle boards are just so practical. I mean it fits in a back pack with all the other equipment – How crazy is that? You don’t have to worry about clearing storage space for your gigantic board nor will you have to rent a WV van to transport it to the nearest water side. Basically, you can just wear your back pack and walk down to your nearest lake or beach and BAAM you have everything you need to start. I’m not hating on strong boards but all I’m saying is that inflatable boards have a lot more to offer.

• The pumping is gonna get on your nerves eventually so you should just get an electric pump and save yourself the trouble. Plus, it fits better than the hand pump in the bag.

I’m just gonna get it out of the way and say that inflatable paddle boards are the future of paddle boarding. I know that it’s hard to bury a habit but believe me; you have to try an inflatable paddle board. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that inflatable boards will out-perform your generic solid boards but there is a lot more to them which makes them significantly a smarter purchase.

This board has enough stainless steel D-rings which is very rare amongst inflatable boards. It has one ring on the nose of the deck to help toe or secure the board, 4 d-rings below that one which serve as to store anything from your sandals to your paddle and a rear D-ring which can be used to install an ankle leash (which I strongly advise).

Not only is it as big as a kayak but the XTERRA looks like one as well. The board comes in an attractive red colour and a large gripping pad which covers the back half of the deck. The pad doesn’t only help you maintain balance when on top of the board but it also makes it much easier to climb back on top after you fall or jump off. Speaking of which, you might think that the board will flip if you try to climb back up but believe me, that doesn’t even happen with smaller inflatable boards; imagine flipping this big guy.

Size isn’t always everything because when it comes to inflatable boards, construction is a critical influencer over the quality of the board. Not to worry though because the XTERRA is fortified with military grade material, rigid drop-stitch and double sided reinforcement which makes the board almost indestructible. Therefore, you don’t have to worry about your board warping at any minute.

Big boards are usually harder to manoeuvre but once on water this big boy can surprise you. On water, the XTERRA performs very well and picks steady speed continuously and although it can be slower than smaller boards, it is much more stable and easier to control if you distribute your weight on it correctly.

The XTERRA has one gigantic central fin which is uncommon but still practical. The central fin will grant you easy control on calm water and it also handles current significantly well. But stay away from shallow water because the fin is large and might get damaged.

Now big board lovers are going to love this one even more because not only does this cover everything you’re looking for in a large board but it’s also inflatable but what does that mean? Well, it means that you can basically deflate, roll up this 12 feet long monster and put it back in its small back pack. So, forget about where you have to put this board or how are you going to get it to the beach because you can literally carry it in your back pack seamlessly.

Now you might wonder if it’s hard to pump up something this big and all I’m going to tell you is that it’s not easy. The board comes with a back pack, a long paddle and a conveniently (not really) high pressure manual pump. The pump is alright and it takes around 10 minutes to fully inflate the board (15 psi) and that can be a little demanding, especially when the pressure gouge points over 10 psi. My advice to you is to just get an electric pump because even if you don’t need it for the board, you will be needing it with a hundred other things. Trust me just buy one and save yourself the trouble.

Lastly, the board is pretty light (31 pounds) considering its size and you can easily carry it using the central carrying handle on the deck. Nevertheless, it performs extremely well and has an astounding weight limit of 275 pounds while maintaining maximal efficiency. That means you can pick up a friend or a pet easily on this board with no concerns.

Pros

• This board is gigantic and thus majestic. However, that’s not the only benefit of a big board. It also means you can have extra fun with friends or pets while using this board and cruise with a couple passengers.

• The board is significantly strong and rigid which means that you do not have to cruise like you’re babysitting someone and actually enjoy the ride without a second thought.

• The pad on this board is comfortable and developed to grant the rider maximal gripping and control over the board.

• This board looks like a kayak and I don’t even need to explain why that’s awesome.

Cons

• Pumping always gets to me. I just wish the inflatable SUP committee gathers up and decides to include an electric pump in the pack instead of a manual one from here on.

The iRocker is one of the few inflatable paddle boards which is actually pretty good. This thing is very rigid since it’s made of military grade material. Nonetheless, it actually looks as if it has been designed to run on a beauty pageant. It is a good looking board and just like any other inflatable board, it is very light and easy to move around.

The iRocker is 10 ft tall, 30 inches wide and 6 inches thick when fully inflated which looks just about right compared to other over-sized or undersized boards. As it is common with inflatable boards, the manufacturer almost always includes a pump with the package and this product is no exception.

The board takes  under 10 minutes to inflate and shouldn’t overpass 15 PSI which should be evident on the pressure gauge that comes with the pump. It might seem like a minor detail to over or under inflate the board but believe me, it will noticeably affect the performance once on water, so better keep it at 15.

I have been using this board for almost two weeks now and to tell the truth I am not disappointed. I mean, for something in this price range and at this quality, it is easily a good purchase. But to make sure, I went and put it to the test several times, using it in shallow water, throwing it on rocks, pebbles or sand when done but that didn’t seem to leave any visible damage on the board’s outer layer which confirms its rigidity.

Also, nothing says ‘this is a good quality product’ like a 2 years warranty which the manufacturer includes as safety net in case you doubt its rigidity.

The iRocker is built to endure the probable effects of any possible impacts caused by dings, wood pilings, or concrete. Besides the basic materials, the making of any product is half the quality and it really shows on this board. It isn’t unfamiliar to find flaws in any product but that cannot be tolerated when making such purchase because any defect in an inflatable board can jeopardize the basic functions of this thing. That is why, whenever I make a purchase, I make sure to scrutinize the product for any obvious defects like bumps or uneven angles which can become a problem with time.

The weight limit on this board is up to 350 lbs which is great because sometimes you might want to take someone cruising with you which you can’t really achieve with most boards in this price range whose weight limit is 250 lbs at best. Add to that, the traction pad on the iRocker covers 2 thirds of the deck and does a great job helping you maintain a solid posture when standing and maximizes gripping in strong currents. Also, it is very helpful when you try to get back on the board when you fall in the water.

This board does not come with a repair kit which is weird but it does include a very practical back pack/carry bag which makes it a lot easier to store and move your board when deflated. I don’t know why not all inflatable boards come with a carry bag because it is indispensable as it prevents accidentally damaging your board when transporting or storing it getting. It also looks great to come wearing a small back pack to the beach with a paddle and a pump in your hand and suddenly bam!!! A huge solid board appears out of nowhere. That never seizes to impress people.

One thing which really got me into this board is its shape. I love the idea of inflatable boards in general because they are so much more practical than regular boards but sadly most of the manufacturers end up making something that looks rectangular and that is not how a board is supposed to look like. The iRocker looks sharp and specifically designed to look like a natural board which is very satisfying because it combines the best of both worlds. Also, the board comes in two colors for the same price and that was a relief because some boards either look too feminine or too masculine but in this case, you get to choose for yourself.
