I would feel quite comfortable taking it out to areas where there are small waves but just not to the areas where the waves break. It is highly buoyant and doesn’t cut through surf like a typical surfboard.Additionally,its skin is tough enough to handle shore landings and to withstand a fair amount of abuse.
