We know that you are here to read our review of the Tower Paddle Boards Adventurer and we promise to get to that shortly. First, we’d like to introduce you to how to properly care for an inflatable stand up paddle board if you are new to this water sport. We figure that the price tags that some inflatable stand up paddle boards carry, you might as well get your money’s worth and the best way to do that is by taking care of it properly. Let’s go ahead and get started so that you can get to the Tower Paddle Boards Adventurer review that we know you are waiting.
Luckily, there isn’t a whole lot of work that has to be done to keep your inflatable stand up paddle board in top notch shape. As The majority of them are built tough and able to withstand a fair amount of abuse. Therefore, all it takes is a simple routine that you are able to continually follow and you will have yourself an inflatable stand up paddle board that lasts you several years worth of paddling.
Protect The Material
There are actually two things that you can do to protect the material on your board.
One of the easiest and best things that you can do for your inflatable stand up paddle board is to keep it dry. Keep the board dry when it is not in use and dry it as soon as you are done using it – sounds simple enough, right? This is very effective in keeping any mold and mildew from growing on the material when the board is in its carry bag.
As opposed to inflatable kayaks, Inflatable SUP are much easier to dry off, as they have no nooks and crannies for it to get stuck in.
Using 303-protectant spray is another great way to care for your board. Simply, spray your entire board and follow the instructions on the bottle. Make sure to wipe off any excess or it can make the board slippery.
303 Protectant is a fantastic beautifying liquid sunscreen that will protect the material from UV rays. 303 Protectant is a must in hot weather.
Avoid Dragging
Although inflatable stand up paddle boards are made tough to withstand the rough use they are often subjected to in the field and when they are being carried into and from the water, we figured that it still makes sense to protect it and avoid dragging it on rocks, gravel or over sharp debris as much as possible.
Storage
Lastly, storing your inflatable stand up paddle board properly is just as important to it’s lifespan as the other tips we have mentioned above. You don’t need anything really fancy to store it properly. The Tower paddle board we’re reviewing here comes with its own carry bag, and that’s enough, but make sure that it’s kept in a dry area and that it doesn’t get dusty.

More In-Depth Info On The Tower Adventurer Inflatable SUP Board
The Tower Adventurer iSUP board is one of the best compact inflatable stand up paddle board out there. It has some really nice design features and on top of that, it’s reasonably priced.
At 9’ 10” long and 32″ wide (at its widest point) it is extremely compact and easily transportable compared to its larger counterparts. Some people might think that it’s a bit narrow and tight but we think that it’s ample enough to throw a small child, a dog or even man’s best friend on board. And Yes! It can hold a ton of weight with no flex at all, and that’s what we like the most about this iSUP board.
The main design features of the Adventurer are :
- 6-inches thickness.
- Grooved deck with anti-slip pad that provides good comfort and grip for your feet.
- 1 large removable skeg that is ideal for flat water paddling.
- 2 small side attached side skegs for rivers or surf.
- Hand hold strap in the center of the board.
- D-ring at the back for your leash.
- Roll-up carrying strap.
Tower Adventurer SUP Board Setup
Inflating a Tower Adventurer board is an easy task. It’s just a matter of minutes to get it fully inflated as the board itself
isn’t that long. It’s highly recommended to use an electric pump and set the PSI level to 11 – 11 PSI is the recommended air pressure for this board.
Some paddleboarding connoisseurs might say that 11 PSI is nothing compared to some other inflatable SUP’s that can support high pressure levels that goes up to 15 – 17 PSI.You’ll just have to trust me on this one. 11 PSI on this board is quite rigid and strong and can support a ton of weight with no flex at all.
Tower Adventurer board comes with two attached fins and one removable larger fin on the center. The latter is to be used only when you’ll be paddling in flat water. The only downside with this fin (at least to me) is that you have to use a screw to attach it. Although this makes for a very secure fin, it is also a tiny part that is easy to lose.
Tower Adventurer SUP Board Performance
On top of everything else, this thing floats and tracks on water like a dream. And though it wasn’t that fast, we were quite impressed with how stable this board really was, and that’s what we like most about it.
Additionally, while many inflatable SUP on the market are still only 4” thick,Tower Adventurer inflatable SUP boasts a thickness of 6-inches which makes it quite comfortable to cruise around with. Not to mention that it’s 4x as rigid with 2x the weight capacity.
The Down Side
As for cons, it’s really difficult to think of any. If anything, I’d say it’s a shame it doesn’t come with a carry bag. Instead It comes with a strap that keeps the board together when deflated and rolled up.I personally think that having a carry bag is much better for the sake of convenience. That being said, you can always invest in a large duffel bag.
Additionally, the Tower Adventurer also doesn’t come with the extra D-rings for attaching bungee cords or gear. This is not a big deal however, as very few smaller SUPs actually have these accessories, but thought it is still worth mentioning.
No product is perfect and yet this inflatable stand up paddle board comes pretty darn close to being perfect.
Final Thoughts
All in all, though, the pros outweigh the cons – we have reviewed many inflatable stand up paddle boards on this site before, and we are quite fond of the Tower Adventurer Stand up Paddle Board. Tower produces a quality product for a great price. On its own, Tower adventurer is a really well-made iSUP board, all things considered, and it performs like a rigid stand up paddle board, and it would a great investment for anyone who’s looking for a solid multi-purpose inflatable stand up paddle board that doesn’t break that bank.
