The thing with inflatable paddle boards is that they are awesome, no matter the size or shape they come in. As long as the brand is reliable, it is guaranteed that you will have the best paddling/surfing experience. Speaking of brands, it is important to note that this industry, like any other, has many phoneys and it’s your role to pin them out. But how simple can that be? Not really simple to be honest.

Tower Paddle Boards Adventurer 10 4 reviewIn order to make sure you get your money’s worth, you must either be knowledgeable in the field or really lucky. Apparently you’re one of the two because you’re looking up the Tower which is a very familiar name in the industry and for all the good reasons.

This manufacturer has managed to build a pride worthy reputation because of their good quality inflatable SUP boards and the consistency at which it provides the market with new models in order to fulfill the preferences of its customers. However, is that compelling enough for you to put your money on this Tower Adventurer? No? Then let’s take a closer look at it and maybe that would help you make up your mind.

Tower Paddle Boards Adventurer 10'4The Tower adventurer is a 10’4″ long inflatable paddle board and that translates to a relatively huge board. A huge board usually means a steady pace and a much more stable platform which entails smoother cruising and slower reaction time and that makes it perfect for beginners. Nevertheless, this board doesn’t have to be constrained to a specific type of users because its size and design is compatible with almost everybody out there.

Moreover, this iSUP is 6” thick which is very practical in the sense that it will not be semi-submerged under heavy weight and that is a pretty common feature amongst low quality boards. Accordingly, the weight limit on this Tower Adventurer is an astounding 350 lbs which means it can handle more than one rider or a rider and a pet and that is significant.

When it comes to quality, this board is as durable as a hard board and that isn’t saying much. The body is strictly made of military grade PVC material which is then reinforced by an industrial drop stitch construction. Thus, you can ride this board anywhere, drop it on any surface and transport it by any means without a worry for dings or board cracks. In brief, Quality wise, this is easily one of the top 10 inflatable stand up paddle boards we’ve ever tested and reviewed and we have reviewed and tested dozens already.

Still on the surface, the basic features of this board deserve your dedicated attention. This board comes with 4 stainless steel D-rings on the head of the deck which are connected by a bungee cord that will serve as a cargo holder and a single D-ring on the back to help you secure or toe your board easily.

Tower adventurer 10'4The gripping pad that covers half the deck is very practical and it will help you stay on top of the board easily even with bear feet. Also, it can come in extremely handy when you need to climb back on top of the board after falling in the water. Another prominent feature are the carry handles at the center and edges which are meant to make carrying the board a lot easier for an adult or two children.

Additionally, the board has three fins, two small ones on the sides and a bigger central removable fin which will make controlling the board a lot easier on calm water but not so much in strong currents or waves.

Tower paddle boards adventurer 10 4 reviewAny inflatable paddle board is greatly defined by the kind of package it comes in and sadly the tower could’ve done better. However, this iSUP comes in a user friendly package which includes the basic items you’ll need to maintain this board for a long time.

First thing is the 3 piece collapsible fibreglass paddle which is very light and durable. This paddle is not the generic paddles you get with other boards to make the package feel fuller but a great quality paddle which will last for years, unless you intentionally break it fighting sharks.

Second is the high pressure hand pump which is a solid component of the paddler’s kit. Needless to say, the hand pumping is a challenge and even more challenging as you go over 10 PSI to reach 15 which is the right air pressure for this board.

Pros

  • This board is a top quality product with a 2 years long warranty life and that is the warranty life on a car.
  • Your experience will definitely be shaped differently with this board when compared to the multitude of basic iSUPs out there.
  • It’s an inflatable board which means transportation is a piece of cake once deflated and so is storing.

Cons

  • The package could’ve been more comprehensive, especially because it’s missing a bag. However, any bag would get the job done; I just have a thing for branded bags.
  • The hand pumping can only be tolerated for so long. Therefore, I advise you to get yourself a little electric pump and save yourself the trouble.
